Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Dhaka & Country Portfolio Manager will lead a team of senior project and programme managers. The role oversees the operational delivery of the projects and programmes under their portfolio. The Dhaka & Country Portfolio Manager is the strategic and geographic lead for programming in Dhaka and will manage up to 4 to 5 large projects with a national/multi location reach. He/she will be responsible for coordinating and holding a leadership role in the development and implementation of a coherent and quality programme portfolio encompassing multiple programmatic disciplines. The key outcomes from this position are:
∎ Programme planning and Implementation: Carries out direct supervision and management accountability of programmes in Dhaka Division and specific national projects; and works with the strategy team to support the new project proposals.
∎ Partnership Management: Promotes partnership with young people's organisations using 'Youth Active Citizenship Model. Supports projects and programme managers to work with partners for setting actions towards gender transformative project implementation.
∎ Team Management: Sets performance targets and monitors performance of team members holding staff accountable for meeting the success criteria. Provides coaching, counselling and professional feedback for building a robust team and to deal with unsatisfactory performance management.
∎ Child Sponsorship Management: Develops the caseload management plan for the fiscal year ensuring the highest rate of assignment and supervises the sponsorship products collection schedule and quality of the communication materials ensuring the reflection of gender transformative approach in meeting sponsorship commitment.
∎ Programme and Project Monitoring: Ensures a robust monitoring system is established with defined responsibilities across the implementation systems and ensures that all outcome indicators for project implementation are captured, analysed and fed into the development of action plans.
∎ Networking, Advocacy and Influencing: Works collaboratively with the Head of Influence to map and identify project/programme influencing actions that support the National Influencing Strategy and amplifies the messages of the global campaign

Additional Requirements:
∎ We are looking for a passionate leader with Masters' degree and minimum 5 years of senior level program management experience including complex project management. Has experience of managing grants project, preferably in the areas of rights and protection of children, girls and young people. Applicants must have demonstrated track records for strong representation, relationship building, negotiation and influencing skills. Experience in developing project implementation plan monitoring, partnership management and complex decision-making are essential requirements. A deeper understanding about gender transformative and rights based approach and ability to apply the learning in implementing a wide range projects are the critical requirements of this position. Applicants should be ready to carry out extensive field visits, meet the deadlines and enjoy working with children and young people and a wide range of partner organisation.
