About the Role

Sea Consortium Bangladesh Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic finance professional to lead its Finance & Accounts function. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in financial management, regulatory compliance, and shipping industry operations.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounts Functions

• Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity

• Manage corporate taxation, including VAT, TDS, and VDS, and ensure timely submission to NBR

• Prepare annual financial statements and periodic MIS reports for management and overseas stakeholders

• Coordinate external audits and maintain banking relationships, including reporting to Bangladesh Bank

• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and working capital requirements

• Ensure compliance with RJSC, corporate governance, and statutory requirements

• Supervise freight-related accounting, invoicing (MLO/NVOCC), and feeder freight collection

• Review contracts, trade licenses, and manage customs license renewals

HR & Administrative Functions

• Oversee employee documentation (appointment, increment, promotion letters)

• Supervise payroll processing, bonuses, and employee benefits

• Issue financial certificates (salary, PF) as required

Educational Requirements

• MBA / BBA in Accounting or Finance

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Professional qualification (CA partly qualified / ACCA qualified) will be highly preferred

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Finance & Accounts

• At least 5 years in a managerial role

• Prior experience in the shipping industry 

Additional Requirements

• Age 45 years (Max), may be relaxable for highly deserving candidates.

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial reporting

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Tally, etc.) and advanced Excel

• Familiarity with VAT, tax filings, audits, and NBR compliance

• Excellent communication skills in English

• Highly organized, analytical, and dependable
