Educational Requirements:
∎ A graduate from any reputed university (preferably in Fashion Design or Fine Arts)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Design creative products and develop the assigned product line as required
∎ Contribute to yearly design planning by making relevant themes, mood boards, storyboards, color charts and presentations
∎ Create new designs for fabrics, textile and sarees as per trend forecast
∎ Visit Aarong Production Centre (APC) and Independent Producers (IP) for sample generation
∎ Approve samples from the pre-production section and ensure delivery of the samples maintaining the standard procedure
∎ Assist in sourcing different yarns and fabrics to make proper sample
∎ Manage and solve design-related issues in response to the feedback of end users
∎ Safeguarding Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 18 years
∎ Preferably 1-3 years of experience in Fashion/ Textile design in a commercial organization
∎ Freshers are also encouraged to apply
∎ Must have the capacity of working at root level and local weavers in different loom preferences
∎ Adaptive of modern weaving technique to convert to loom friendly design
∎ Excellence in color balance and methods to interpret the right intensity so the end product comes as desired
∎ Vast knowledge of latest innovation in fiber and its sources, weaving patterns and expertise of mixing different yarn to achieve the expected result
∎ Knowledge of fashion trend research and textile forecast for the season
∎ Idea about ethnic textiles of Bangladesh and bring innovation in those
∎ Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Salary:
∎ As per company policy
