EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in PR, event management, and outreach campaigns.
  • Portfolio of work (e.g., event documentation report, published press releases, institutional PESTLE analysis) should be provided. 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Computer and Generative Artificial Intelligence Literacy.
  • Good networks with professionals in media, journalism, and PR.
  • Willingness to work on important events occurring outside of regular working hours.
  • Ability to draft press releases in Bengali and English.


Responsibilities & Context:

JOB CONTEXT

The Manager/Deputy Manager – Event, Outreach & PR will effectively supervise the overall event management, outreach programs, and PR activities of ULAB. S/he will be responsible for planning and managing all the events and building external relationships with stakeholders. S/he will work closely with (a) the Admissions Office to attract sufficient quality and quantity of admission seekers, (b) the Career Service Office to attract reputed employers, and (c) the HR Office to attract high-quality faculty members.

 

REPORTING

  • The incumbent will report to the Deputy Director – Branding & Communications.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Achieve the communications objectives set for events, public relations, and outreach set out by the Deputy Director.
  • Conduct an annual analysis to identify the relevant stakeholders of ULAB who are suitable for outreach, social media, and public relations efforts.
  • Create and execute annual events, PR campaigns, and outreach programs to improve relations with ULAB stakeholders.
  • Prepare high-quality, creative communication materials for press releases and other public relations and outreach efforts.
  • Maintain and improve relationships with media houses, television channels, OTT platforms, and newspapers.
  • Prepare a term-wise annual PR Campaign Plan, deliver monthly reports that highlight key metrics and demonstrate progress toward plan objectives.
  • Lead the event management team for planning and executing ULAB’s central events.
