Experience:
Essential degree in Medicine or Paramedical field
Master’s degree in Public Health [completed or ongoing] is an asset.
Relevant experience working as a Deputy medical coordinator, medical support, or in similar roles within MSF or other NGOs operating in developing countries.
Related experience with health program management and coordination.
Knowledge on any health data management system is mandatory.
Prior experience working in remote, camp settings or insecure contexts.
English and Bangla languages are mandatory. Knowledge of Chittagonian dialect is an asset.

Job Context: Supporting the Medical Coordinator through delegated tasks and responsibilities including defining, leading and coordinating the entire medical scope of the mission, according to MSF protocols, standards, policies and values, in order to ensure the quality of the medical care given to the targeted population and thus improving their overall health and living conditions. Fully assuming the medical coordinator`s responsibilities in case of absence.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the MSF- Belgium (Operational Center Brussels- OCB) medical coordinator and collaborate with the IST/intersectional MSF- Holland (Operational Center Amsterdam- OCA) and MSF- France (Operation Center Paris- OCP) medical teams to ensure MSFs medical practices are aligned with the Bangladesh’s national health guidelines and MSF protocols. Assist in integrating MSF protocols with local health policies to promote cohesive healthcare delivery within the Rohingya communities where MSF works.
Utilize his/her experience in HIS {Health Information System} and epidemiological analysis to supervise and coordinate the epidemiologist in monitoring disease trends, outbreaks response, and ensuring accurate data management and medical analysis. Facilitate reliable reporting and support evidence-based decision-making within the mission.
Assisting the medical coordinator and project team in conducting rapid health or epidemiological assessments if needed. Support OCB measles response as part of EPREP and, when needed, lead medical assessments and interventions during intersectional emergencies in close collaboration with OCA/P.
Engage in OR initiatives by assisting in the designing, implementing and evaluating of health interventions in collaboration with the medical coordinator and mission epidemiologist.
Support staff health in the mission, including occupational health, psycho-social support and safety measures within the mission. Communicate with SHU in Brussels and telemedicine for support and with Inter-OC teams regarding updates to intersectional SH policies. Collaborate with other MSF sections for referral support when necessary.
Attend meetings with MedCo and work closely with Bangladesh health authorities [including RRRC], WHO, health sectors and other NGOs to ensure compliance with both local and international health standards. Join sub-working groups and attend meetings in Cox’s according to MSF representation matrix policy.
Support medical coordination in assessing training and capacity-building needs for staff and health partners operating in the camps.
Take the lead in updating actor and service mapping in collaboration with HAO [Humanitarian Affairs Officer] and support MSF’s communication and advocacy efforts within the mission.
Collaborate with the medical coordination and mission pharmacist to support international medical order according to supply chronogram.
Follow up on project activities, attend camp health sector meetings [if needed] and participate in Uhkiya health administration meetings to ensure coordinated health service delivery in the Rohingya camps.
To cover the gap of Medical Coordinator in the absence or annual leave periods to ensure continuity of medical activities.
Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Hired Staff (LHS).
Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction at source will be applicable based on the current income tax rule.
Festival bonus entitlement is effective upon completing one (01) year of uninterrupted services with MSF.
There are no provisions for relocations.
