Experience Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience Candidates with experience in Real Estate / Property Development / Apartment Business / Land & Legal Affairs will be highly preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Strong practical knowledge of Bangladesh Land & Property Laws.
• Excellent knowledge of land documentation, title verification, mutation and registration procedures.
• Working knowledge of RAJUK and real estate regulatory requirements.
• Strong legal drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Ability to independently handle legal issues and provide practical solutions.
• Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional ethics.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Context

Besthome Properties Ltd., a growing real estate development company specializing in apartment projects, is looking for a dynamic, experienced and result-oriented Deputy Manager / Manager – Legal to manage and strengthen the Company's legal, documentation, compliance and property-related legal affairs.

The position will be responsible for protecting the Company's legal interests through effective legal documentation, due diligence, regulatory compliance, litigation management and timely legal advisory support to Management.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day legal matters related to Apartment Sales, Land, Real Estate Projects and Corporate Affairs.

• Draft, review and vet Sale Agreements, Bainanama, Deeds, MoUs, Development Agreements, Power of Attorney, Vendor/Contractor Agreements and other legal documents.

• Conduct land and property due diligence, including title verification, deed/baya deed scrutiny, khatian, mutation and land record verification.

• Ensure legal compliance in apartment booking, sale, registration, transfer and handover processes.

• Liaise with RAJUK, Sub-Registry Office, AC Land Office, DC Office, Mutation Office and other relevant government authorities.

• Manage and follow up civil, land, property, commercial and other legal cases through external lawyers/counsels.

• Provide legal opinions, risk assessments and practical recommendations to Management.

• Review agreements and identify potential legal, contractual and commercial risks before execution.

• Maintain proper Legal Documentation, Agreement, Case and Compliance Records.

• Coordinate with Land Acquisition, Sales, Engineering, Finance, Customer Service and other departments regarding legal matters.

• Ensure timely renewal, registration, approval and compliance of relevant legal documents.

• Take preventive legal measures to safeguard the Company's interests.

• Perform any other legal responsibilities assigned by Management.
