Educational Requirements:
∎ Advanced degree, in any subject of social science, liberal arts, development studies, gender studies or related discipline.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Job summary: To work along with the ED in supervision, management and coordination of the work of MJF
∎ Job highlights : Work with the ED and in collaboration with the Senior Management Team
∎ DED will :
∎ Undertake some of the responsibilities of the ED in managing the day to day work of running MJF
∎ Supervise at least two Directors and provide strategic guidance to the core programs of MJF
∎ Take the lead in the preparation, review and update of MJF Strategy and oversee
∎ implementation of various policies and commitments consistent with the
∎ mandate, jurisdiction and commitments of MJF to various donors.
∎ Assist ED in accessing resources/funding and work towards financial and institutional sustainability of MJF
∎ Work closely with the ED to guide MJF become a stronger, dynamic, innovative, relevant center of excellence
Additional Requirements:
∎ Credibility and strong sustained relationship with different stake holders such as GOB, Civil society, donors, private sector etc.
∎ Excellent knowledge of issues, context and challenges facing Bangladesh and insights on overcoming these challenges
∎ Deep understanding of the NGO sector with a vision of how the sector can make a difference in the future of Bangladesh. Experience of research, management, academic and/or policy leadership is desirable
∎ Proven skills of supervision, motivation, teamwork and inspirational leadership in a
∎ multidisciplinary, diverse, challenging institutional context is essential
Salary: Tk. 255975 - 318558 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Salary Range between Tk 255,975 to 318,558 monthly gross, plus provident fund, gratuity, annual cost of living adjustment and performance-based increments will be provided.
