∎ As partnership with Concern Worldwide, ESDO is implementing the Integrated Nutrition Project in Coxsbazar District. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position. Only ready to join applicants are invited to apply.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Cooking Demonstration Promoter will be responsible for facilitating Cooking demonstration sessions at the facility as well as community level, messaging and counselling to caregivers and beneficiaries attending services in the OTP, TSFP and the BSFP Centre. She will also demonstrate the preparation of supplementary food provided to BSFP beneficiaries and disseminate a range of health and nutrition messages including breastfeeding, hand washing, dietary diversity, among others geared at influencing adoption of appropriate behaviour change around maternal infant and young child nutrition (MIYCN). In addition, Cooking Demonstration Promoter will facilitate and ensure the “MukheVaat ceremony” at facility and community levels for the children who completed 6 month of age. She will be responsible to perform other activities requested by her supervisor based on project need.
∎ Main duties & responsibilities:
∎ In liaison with the Nutrition Site Supervisor-CMAM and Outreach Supervisor to ensure preparation and dissemination cooking demonstration practices, messages at the site and community level on a range of topics around MIYCF.
∎ Demonstrate preparation of supplementary food provided to Children under five and PLWs from BSFP component.
∎ Lead the organization and facilitation of participatory cooking sessions to develop nutritious complementary feeding recipes with support from community volunteers and mother care group members.
∎ Organize “MukheVaat Ceremony” at facility and site level with support from Outreach Supervisors for the children who reached six month of age.
∎ Home visit to follow up the appropriate practices are followed by mothers and care givers to prepare nutritious recipes.
∎ Organize awareness raising session and message dissemination among mothers and care givers of IYCF children to sensitize them on nutrition, hygiene and care practices.
∎ Along with Health educators to motivate caregivers to make healthy changes and adopt recommended health and nutrition practices including encouraging them to attend nutrition services within the nutrition sites.
∎ Support to roll out integrated ECCD activities at the center and facility level.
∎ Support and prepare required weekly and monthly program reports.
∎ Enable a friendly collaborative working culture within the team, actively sharing information and knowledge to enable the team to ensure effective learning and sharing across the team.
∎ Be aware of, understand and comply with all of Concern’s policies and procedures (P4, finance, logistics, HR, security management etc.).
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the line manager.
∎ Accountability
∎ In line with commitments under the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS):
∎ Actively promote meaningful community participation and consultation at all stages of the project cycle (planning, implementation, M&E);
∎ Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that the Complaints and Response Mechanism (CRM) is functional and accessible, that feedback and complaints are welcomed and addressed;
∎ Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that information about CRM, safeguarding and expected staff behaviour is disseminated among programme participants and communities.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Around 1-2 years’ progressive experience in similar/related activities. (For highly technical candidates, experience is considerable).
∎ Technical knowledge on CMAM, IYCF, MAMI and SBCC.
∎ Having good knowledge on Rohingya refugee programmes will add value.
∎ Demonstrate ability to think and manage strategically, plan and meet deadlines.
∎ Only Female candidates are eligible as they will work closely with Pregnant and lactating mother and other female program participant group.
∎ Good command and fluency over Rohingya language/Chittagong dialect (Local Dialect).
∎ Pro- active with an ability to think analytically, identifying opportunities and mechanisms to broaden programming.
∎ Results oriented.
∎ Excellent planning and organisational skills.
∎ Ability to problem solve and good decision making and communication skills.
∎ Strong team player.
∎ Ability to work in challenging environments.
∎ Good knowledge on Nutrition and SBCC.
∎ Good communication and demonstration skills.

∎ Must have a ‘hands on’, practical mentality, be self-driven and very self-motivated.
∎ Must be well organized.
∎ Very high attention to detail.
∎ Cultural and political sensitivity.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 34000 (Monthly)
∎ As per final budget the salary could be changed

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Two festival bonuses @ 50% of one month gross salary per year & Boishakhi Allowance @10% of gross salary.
