∎ Job Summary :
∎ Ujjiban is focusing to work on child marriage issue in the year of four. They must regular communicate with different organizations, government agencies who are involved to work on child marriage issue. Ujjiban wants to develop a consortium on child marriage where different UN agencies, INGOs including government will be involved.
∎ JHUCCP intends to hire a consultant who will visit government organization especially Ministry of Women Affairs and Children (MOWCA), build rapport and maintain coordination. In this regard, there is a need of engaging a consultant who will perform the duties in different settings - in office and working locations. Consultant will be responsible in overall coordination and organizing meeting with government mainly in the Dhaka.
∎ Time frame:
∎ 3 months period (with a possibility of extension depending on fund availability)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Study Ujjiban project activities and specific objectives on child marriage
∎ Collect resource materials on child marriage from government institutes
∎ Communicate with different government organizations who works on child marriage issue
∎ Organize meeting between MOWCA and CCP including other stakeholders of child marriage consortium
∎ Mobilize MOWCA to be a member of Child marriage consortium
∎ Review meeting minutes and submit to JHUCCP
∎ Regular visit in MOWCA office for coordination purposes
∎ Attend different event on child marriage
∎ Share weekly/monthly report about activities on child marriage
∎ Give innovative ideas for mobilize the consortium
∎ Do any other activities for supporting outreach activity
Additional Requirements:
∎ Profile/requirement of consultant(s):
∎ Has experience on working with government especially in the MOWCA
∎ Proven experience and expertise in coordinating among MOWCA and different organizations
∎ Has experience to work with government
∎ Has experience on community engagement activities
∎ Strong written and spoken communication in Bangla;
∎ Experience in coordination with the different contributors and stakeholders
∎ Willing to work with tight deadlines and have perception of value for money
∎ Prior work experience with UN agencies and government departments will be preferred
∎ Preferred qualifications:
∎ Master's degree in a discipline such as sociology, marketing, public relations, or communication and 15 years of experience of Govt. Job or have 5 years' experience working with MOWCA. Proven experience and expertise in management and project coordination.
∎ Citizen: Bangladeshi citizen.
∎ Language Skills: Excellent written and oral skills in Bangla and English.
