Minimum five years experience in ICU management.
Responsibilities & Context:
- Oversee the care of critically ill patients in the ICU, including managing patients with life-threatening.
- Manage mechanical ventilation and other advanced respiratory support techniques.
- Provide anesthesia for emergency surgical or diagnostic procedures for ICU patients when required.
- Perform advanced procedures such as intubation, central line placement, arterial line insertion, bronchoscopy, and bedside ultrasound for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
- Lead multidisciplinary rounds, coordinating care with intensivists, surgeons, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide updates and counseling to families about the patient’s condition, treatment options, and prognosis.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in anesthesiology and critical care through research, conferences, and professional development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of ICU protocols, guidelines, and policies to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in or lead clinical research in areas related to anesthesiology and critical care.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies or techniques in ICU care and anesthesiology.
