1. System & Hardware Operations: Monitor console screens for error messages, performance bottlenecks, or network alerts. Perform routine system startups, shutdowns, and hardware checks.

2. Data Backup & Recovery: Execute regular daily, weekly, or monthly system backups. Securely store backups and assist with disaster recovery procedures when required.

3. Batch Processing & Job Scheduling: Run scheduled batch processing tasks (e.g., end-of-day billing, database updates, or data migration jobs) and verify successful completion.

4. Peripheral & Media Management: Load print paper, replace toner cartridges, load magnetic tapes or external storage media, and ensure output devices operate properly.

5. Troubleshooting & Technical Support: Identify hardware or software faults, resolve basic technical issues, and escalate complex network or server problems to system administrators or IT engineers.

6. Maintenance & Security: Install software updates, system patches, and security fixes. Maintain server room security and monitor environmental conditions (e.g., temperature and humidity).

7. System Logging & Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of daily operations, system errors, downtime, maintenance activities, and user requests.
