Job Context:
∎ Jhpiego Bangladesh (Jhpiego), with funding from USAID`s RISE Test to Treat (T2T), is planning to support the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOH&FW) in testing the introduction of rapid antigen test and provision of oral antiviral drugs for high risk patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 symptom cases. Through partner NGOs, the project aims to promote rapid antigen tests closer to community and generate demand for treatment among high risk patients. This position is expected to lead overall community sensitization, mobilization in target communities, and to support partner NGOs in developing a realistic, robust implementation strategy to generate demand for rapid testing and timely referral to health facilities

Job Responsibilities:
∎ S/he will work with the technical team and NGOs to finalize direct implementation plan, and community appropriate messages and guidelines
∎ Build capacity of partner NGO staff in Test to Treat community sensitization activities
∎ Will support NGOs in community entry and sensitization activities, including engagement of Union Parishad, Ward Counselors, religious leaders and social elites and other community-based organizations and platforms.
∎ Support NGOs in collaborating with MOH&FW staff at community level, including health and family planning workers, community health care providers, to promote COVID-19 testing and treatment messages through existing outreach mechanisms, including but not limited to satellite clinics, EPI centers, etc.
∎ Support the knowledge management team in documenting community engagement successes and lessons
∎ Take on other work responsibilities from time to time as required for program implementation
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 3-5 years professional experience in community mobilization and health sector, USAID project experience preferred.
∎ Familiarity with public sector, preferably Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
∎ Good oral and written communication skills
∎ Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary and multicultural group of colleagues and external stakeholders
∎ Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision
∎ Creative, flexible, and resourceful and able to cope with logistical challenges
∎ Ability to travel within Bangladesh
