∎ POSITION OVERVIEW
∎ As a small but rapidly growing global health organization, we are looking for a responsible to supervise the activities of community health workers (CHWs) and provide them with adequate coaching and support to ensure the quality of their work and the accuracy of their monthly reports.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assess the needs and resources required for MedGlobal health promotion activities in camp and host community, and plan an appropriate integrated response that aligns with organizational and Health Sector priorities.
∎ Plan, design and manage the implementation of health education session & health promotion measures to address priority public health risks according to the agreed plan and information shared by the health sector.
∎ Mobilize communities, where appropriate, to participate fully in this programme.
∎ Train CHW Volunteers, facilitators and staff in health promotion as appropriate.
∎ Support overseeing the health promotion project planning and implementation, including budgeting and reporting, as appropriate.
∎ Develop/adapt hygiene promotion materials for use during an emergency operation for different target groups e.g. children, elderly, pregnant women, and those responsible for Operation and Maintenance (O&M).
∎ Encourage community participation as much as possible throughout the programme cycle, in training, and in the use of WHO and Health Cluster toolkits and other materials.
∎ Monitor the impact of health promotion activities and provide regular, timely and accurate narrative information for inclusion in the MedGlobal's reports for the Program Manager or other parties.
∎ Ensure that health promotion activities are in line with SPHERE standards, Health & Care policies and national policies.
∎ Perform any other related duties or responsibilities that may be assigned by the project team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year experience in community engagement, data collection with KOBO toolbox.
∎ Must have 6 months working experience in FDMN Camps.
∎ Knowledge in Public Health, WASH, Community mobilisation, and techniques.
∎ Basic orientation on public health promotion for refugee camp
∎ Should have good command in English with good communication skill
∎ Should have fair knowledge in IT and computer
∎ Person with disability are encouraged to apply
