∎ At least 2 years of experience in community development, facilitation, or a similar role, preferably within the agriculture or livestock sector.
∎ Experience working with rural communities and knowledge of local contexts is essential.
∎ Previous experience with NGO projects or donor-funded programs is an advantage.
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire community members.
∎ Knowledge of participatory rural development approaches and community mobilization techniques.
∎ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
∎ Basic understanding of livestock farming and value chain development is preferred.
∎ Proficiency in local languages and dialects spoken in the project area is highly desirable.
∎ Fluency in Bangla and English, both written and spoken, is required.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples' centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 331 upazilas under 54 districts of Bangladesh covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.
∎ As partnership with Heifer International, ESDO is implementing the ‘‘BD Beef and Goat Value Chain Signature Program’’ at Rajshahi District. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position.
∎ SHG formation and strengthening.
∎ Facilitate training exchange visit and follow up to Self-Help groups (SHGs)
∎ Facilitate SHG meeting under the leadership of the SHG Chair.
∎ Household visit and coaching
∎ Facilitate SHG PSRP (participatory Self Review and Planning) and document and follow up.
∎ Coordinate with project partners, Heifer office and other Stakeholders and follow up
∎ Report and document at the SHG level, including group records.
∎ Facilitate new initiative in the SHG
∎ Ensure the four basic qualities of a good SHG; group size, commitment to help themselves, group savings and inclusiveness of neighbors.
∎ Ensure Project implementation at the SHG level
∎ Reinforce the Heifer’s cornerstones.
∎ Assist in SHG, Cooperatives/FPOs business, savings, credit, loan and fund mobilization.
∎ Facilitate passing on the gift.
∎ Prepare progress report on project activities on regular basis and submit to project coordinator undertake any addition responsibility assigned by the project coordinator as and when required.
