Job Context:
∎ Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples` centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. About three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted to the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services, especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community-focused and people-centered approach has been adopted by ESDO, while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 283 Upazilas under 49 districts of Bangladesh, covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.
∎ With the partnership of Climate Bridge Fund (CBF), ESDO is implementing the Enhance Emergency Responses through Social and Economic protection for Urban slum dwellers for addressing new normal situation of Covid-19 in Rajshahi District. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinationwith community.
∎ Arrange any kind of community event.
∎ Arrange various community consultation.
∎ Collect project participant list.
∎ Arrange training Coordinationwith community leaders.
∎ Ensure gender balance in each program.
∎ Conduct behavioral changing activities.
∎ Supervisor construction sites.
∎ Ensure maintenance of the community construction sites.
∎ Conduct any other activities as per project design and assign by the organization.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 03 years’ relevant working experience in any National/International NGO;
∎ Experience DRR and EA based activities and projects will be Prioritized
∎ Preference will be given to candidates having prior working experience in the project area and experience of:
∎ Implementing the project activities in the field;
∎ Carry forwarding community capacity building assessments;
∎ Good community mobilizing, consultation and session facilitation skills
∎ Coordination and maintain liaison with communities, civil society groups and local stakeholders
∎ Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/ management
∎ Skills in Community Consultation and Process Facilitation;
∎ Effective Problem solver.
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in local language and Bengali;
∎ Experience DRR and EA based activities and projects will be Prioritized
∎ Ability to work remotely in the field;
∎ Good understanding on issues related to gender equity and protection
Salary: Tk. 25000 - 29593 (Monthly)
