Job Context:
∎ More than 745,000 Rohingyas have fled from Myanmar since August 2017 and are now in camps in Bangladesh. In Cox`s Bazar, the needs of the refugee families are enormous. Agrajattra provides services of Child Protection, WASH, Shelter and Primary health care for the most vulnerable people and fights against malnutrition. We distribute hygiene supplies, construct latrines and wells, and treat the water to make it drinkable. To give a comprehensive response to the needs of the Rohingya children, we aid the most vulnerable with community-based child protection, psychosocial support, and case management.
∎ General description of the position:
∎ The CB Assistant to support host and refugee communities and empowers them to prevent, mitigate and address child protection risks in their communities.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Establish/Support community-based CP mechanisms
∎ Map existing community structures and identify community mechanisms for preventing and responding to child protection issues.
∎ Identify vulnerable groups in the community as well as positive role model and engage them in the process.
∎ Establish or support existing structures though community outreach and mobilization.
∎ Form community-based groups with membership selection criteria, mandate and phase-out strategy, fully owned and developed by the community
∎ Build the capacity of these groups on key CP areas through the delivery of training packages that are age, gender, and culture adapted
∎ Support the community to map and assess CP risks in their area and to identify the drivers of these risks
∎ Support the community to develop community-owned action plans to prevent, mitigate and address these risks
∎ Support the community to develop key sensitization messages that are gender, age and culture adapted and target the specific needs of the community
∎ Support the community to design community-led initiatives, in a participatory and inclusive manner that target the CP risks.
∎ Support the community to develop M&E plans to assess the impact of their interventions
∎ Support community-led advocacy and access to services
∎ Link the community to service providers and local government stakeholders
∎ Support the community to lead in developing local service mapping and referral pathway, including feedback on quality of services.
∎ Raise feedback from community on quality and gaps in services to the CB Officer
∎ Operational management of activities
∎ Document the minutes of all community-based meetings and sessions/initiative
∎ Conduct pre/post tests for capacity building trainings
∎ Support the community to track their budget for community-led initiatives
∎ Submit weekly reports to the CB Officer

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in community-based child protection
∎ Knowledge of Child Protection in Emergencies & global standards on community-based child protection
∎ Experience working with children, adolescents, caregivers, community leaders both host and refugee

Salary: Tk. 25000 - 25032 (Monthly)
