Job Context:
∎ ACDI/VOCA is currently implementing the $20.5 million, five-year Feed the Future Livestock and Nutrition Activity in Bangladesh funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The Livestock and Nutrition Activity aims to sustainably increase livestock productivity, marketability, and consumption of livestock products to improve nutrition and incomes for one million livestock producing households and firms in the 23 target districts in Bangladesh`s Zone of Influence and Zone of Resilience. To achieve this level of scale and ambitious results ACDI/VOCA uses an integrated community-based development and inclusive market systems approach and co-creates solutions with communities and public and private sector actors, effectively leveraging their resources, technologies, and expertise.
∎ Pursuant to its mission, ACDI/VOCA is seeking experienced and talented professionals for the CLA and Communications Associate position.
∎ Project Name: Feed the Future Bangladesh Livestock and Nutrition Activity
∎ Reports to: CLA and Communications Lead
∎ JOB SUMMARY: The CLA and Communications Associate will take a proactive and dynamic approach to develop and execute different communication materials to support the project communications strategy. S/he will also play an assistive role in executing the project CLA (Collaborating, Learning and Adapting) practices to facilitate and establish a learning culture for the project staff and beyond. This position requires an audience and results-driven individual with a keen understanding of both traditional and digital communication channels. S/he will build relationships across the project portfolio with staff, partners and other stakeholders and take initiative in identifying stories and messaging that communicates learning and results to various stakeholders including donors. S/he will lead both internal and external communications efforts, as well as contribute to content-development of project materials, including social media posts, activity blogs, weekly updates, quarterly and annual reports, success stories, presentations, events management, and media relations.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Strategic communications planning:
∎ Develop a comprehensive map of project audience, set periodic target and methodology to reach out to the audience.
∎ Develop a quarterly strategic communication calendar and tracker to meet the regular communications need of the project.
∎ Develop a quarterly reporting mechanism to assess the target vs. reach and identify which of the tools works best.
∎ Realtime assessment of different livestock, nutrition, and climate action platforms to develop strategic communication tools.
∎ Track and plan for day observations and other events and coordinate with the regional team to develop regional communication plan to execute the events.
∎ Content development and management:
∎ Develop project communications and marketing materials for donors, activity staff, partners, and stakeholders. This will include weekly updates, social media posts, quarterly reports, annual reports, blog posts, success stories, case studies, fact sheets, event materials, and presentations.
∎ Work with project staff across the region identify learnings and achievements; coordinate with staff to gather information for communications including graphics, articles, success, and impact stories that offer analytical storytelling.
∎ Strategically craft messages, social media posts and identify creative, and effective ways to facilitate sharing and collaboration, both internally and externally
∎ Assist in organizing internal and external pause and reflect exercise sessions, including workshops, conferences, and learning sessions.
∎ Manage project photo library by regularly archiving photos and take notes of day-to-day activity updates from WhatsApp and Teams groups for future content development.
∎ Maintain a social media and weekly update tracker and organize calendar to make sure regular posts are reaching out to specific audience.
∎ Extract data from social media analytics to scrutinize the performance of social media posts.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years of experience in development communication (may be lowered for highly deserving candidates)
∎ Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
∎ Experience on writing and managing content for a variety of media including digital and social media platforms, press and media, storyboarding, case studies, and factsheets/briefings.
∎ Ability to work with teams to identify field learning and craft messaging around those.
∎ Ability to work independently as well as build relationships across a variety of stakeholders.
∎ Ability to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information quickly.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel in project implementation areas.
∎ Growth oriented and ability to work under stress.
