Job Context:
∎ Duty station/Location: Ukiah & Teknaf, Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh.
∎ Start date : Immediate (25 Dec 2021)
∎ Reports to: CP Manager.
∎ Contract duration: Total project duration-21 Months but initially Up to 28 February,2022 (with possibility of contract extension)
∎ Deadline for Applications: 20th Dec 2021.

∎ Operational/Context Role :
∎ AGRAJATTRA is looking for an experience, competent and dedicated Child Protection Officer for the project titled "Strengthening Rohingya Children, Families and Communities to protect, prevent and respond to abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence against children". The project is funded by #COMIC_RELIEF through IRC.
∎ The project will be implemented at Rohingya Refugee camps Under Ukhia & Teknaf Upazila, Cox`s Bazar.
∎ The Child Protection Officer will be responsible to ensure quality implementation of the Child protection team thematic area in synergy with the larger protection and gender-based violence components which constitute the overall AGRAJATTRA programme in Cox`s Bazar.
∎ He/She is responsible to oversee a team of child protection outreach officer at the area level.
∎ The CP Officer is also responsible for representing AGRAJATTRA in any relevant field based thematic meetings with stakeholders and otherwise as needed as well. In addition,
∎ He/She will be responsible for complying with donors and internal AGRAJATTRA reporting and accountability policy and procedures.
∎ He/she is also tasked with providing technical assistance and guidance to mainstream protection across all the community-based mechanisms in camps where CP.
∎ The CP Officer will responsible for - Planning, implementation, monitoring, supervision, coordination, documentation, IEC material development on Child Protection aspects and reporting regular basis as per donor requirement.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 01. #Project development, Program Planning, Implementation, Management and reporting :
∎ To coordinate the implementation of activities in the SHLS (Safe healing & learning Space) ;
∎ Make sure that all the protection projects adhere to the highest CP standards and principles as well as AGRAJATTRA guidelines and accountability standards
∎ Responsible for the project direction and management, and to deliver timely and quality deliverables and services related to Child Protection, quality protection services, strengthening case management and referral processes, based on community empowerment mechanism;
∎ Supervise implementing activities are aligned with the values of participation, gender-equality and Do No Harm;
∎ Ensure the project accountability with regular feedback from beneficiaries through a user-friendly reporting mechanism;
∎ Supervise and follow-up the performance of project team in the light of quantitative and qualitative progresses of planned activities under the project;
∎ To perform regular assessment on the quality and the content of the intervention;
∎ To provide necessary technical support to enhance and sustain the quality of the services provided under the supervision of the CP Coordinator;
∎ To refer beneficiaries with special needs, and follow up the referred cases conditions in collaboration with the coordinator;
∎ To monitor protection risks and needs and identifying protection cases;
∎ Reports to the PM/CP coordinator on regular basis on both technical and organizational level;
∎ To ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems are in place, support staff in all monitoring processes;
∎ To provide daily, weekly and monthly reports on progress of activities in the center;
∎ To closely coordinate with the CP Coordinator to ensure effective delivery of age-appropriate activities;
∎ Ensure the collection of quantitative/qualitative data;
∎ Follow AGRAJATTRA and Donor guidelines, policies and procedures and ensure that all applicable organizational policies have been properly applied by project staff.
∎ Support innovative problem solving and strategy development to address complex issues relating to the safety and well being of children and their families.
∎ 02. #Staff development, Training, Meeting, Session Facilitation and Management:
∎ Assess and ensure the capacity building of project staff to implement the strategy through training and orientation;
∎ Lead to develop training module and guideline for capacity building of Child, Adolescent, Youth Groups members and Community Protection Group members;
∎ Organizing different trainings under the project and facilitation diverse training as per action plan;
∎ Contribute to generate training report in the lights of qualitative and quantitative aspects;
∎ 03. #Coordination, Representation and Networking :
∎ Develop relationships with a range of key stakeholders including donors, Local Government and other stakeholders on this specific thematic area.
∎ Representation of AGRAJATTRA and active participation in the local working groups lead by ISCG including Case Management Technical Working Group, CPSS, CIC meetings and any other meetings as requested or required.
∎ Close Co-ordination with different UN org like UNHCR, UNICEF and other UN agencies and national / international NGOs and others Stakeholders, including referrals, protection gap analysis, and advocacy.
∎ Represent AGRAJATTRA Child Protection in Camp and Host Community.
∎ Responsible for Co-ordination and liaising between AGRAJATTRA and partners/other agencies/local/ government / local communities / displaced community, as regards to AGRAJATTRA's "Strengthening Rohingya Children, Families and Communities to protect, prevent and respond to abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence against children" project;
∎ 04. #Monitoring, Documentation and Report Generation:
∎ Follow-up and Monitor day-to-day activities of project team to ensure perform the tasks in time with quality standards.
∎ In collaboration with the Child Protection manager proactively contribute to quality and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
∎ In collaboration with the other CP officer proactively contribute to quality and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
∎ Contribute to develop the M&E system, M&E plan and Necessary tools and methods.
∎ Ensure real-time monitoring approach in the project and updated the information when and where it is required.
∎ Lead to ensure documentation of all best practices and learning in the project that has to be replicated in the community and others organization.
∎ Monthly/Qualitative (Narrative) and Quantitative Report generation for donors, relevant sector and GOs for the period of monthly basis, quarterly basis, six-monthly basis and annually.
∎ 05. #Effective communication and coordination (Internal and external):
∎ Coordination and collaboration with UNO office, Union Perished, CIC, donors, local political leaders, Intellectual civil society members and different like minded NGOs and stakeholders both Host and Rohingya camp.
∎ Liaison with the admin, finance and monitoring unit for ensuring logistic and necessary inputs to smoothly implementation the project activities in the field;
∎ Develop networking and rapport building with GOs, NGOs and Private sector actors for achieving project goal and objectives as per planned schedule.
∎ Participate different coordination meetings organized by GOs, INGOs and different relieve Sectors team and contribute improvement.
∎ Coordinate with local political leaders, civil society members and Govt. high potential officer towards smooth operation of project activities in the field.
∎ Internal coordination with top and down management level for smoothly functional of project activities.
∎ Prepare and lead all steering committee meetings with TdH as per planning and ensure minutes are taken and follow up are documented with actions taken.
∎ 06. #Support management team to:
∎ Follow up all AGRAJATTRA Procedures for Security, Finance, Logistics, HR and Administration.
∎ Uphold AGRAJATTRA code of conduct.
∎ 07. #Additional Requirements:
∎ Plan and coordinate proactively logistics and movements of staff from and to different zones;
∎ Minimum of 03-10 years experience working with vulnerable communities, basic needs and distribution programming experience, and/or advocacy programs;
∎ Experience in protection interventions in line with Refugees operation;
∎ Experience of working with UN or Non-Governmental organizations;
∎ Good communication skills and ability to conduct training and awareness.
∎ Computer skills (Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
∎ Good organizational and management skills, Team Management, Budget Management & Project
∎ 08. #Management Skill :
∎ Languages: (indicate fluency level)
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
∎ Fluency in Bangla, Chittagonian and Rohingya.

∎ Keep the Program Director (PD) and Project Manager informed on the activities of the project by providing relevant correspondence, reports and meeting minutes as well as making regular updates.
