Job Responsibilities:
∎ Purpose of the Role
∎ The Child Protection Caseworker will conduct all steps of the case management process for an assigned number of individual children vulnerable to or experiencing abuse, neglect, exploitation, and violence (including unaccompanied or separated children) and their families. Position objectives:
∎ To ensure children harmed or at risk of being harmed are identified and referred from the wider community, and receive individual case management support by conducting documentation, assessments, action plans, direct service provision, referrals, and follow-ups for an assigned caseload of children
∎ To provide support to families in the process of case management, including foster and alternative care, and targeted psychological support and skills building with caregivers
∎ To directly work with other caseworkers and service providers on the management of caseload and referrals
∎ To conduct home visits with children and their families to monitor recovery, provide follow-up and referrals, and assess child protection risks/issues in the home (including other children)
∎ Highlights of Key Responsibilities
∎ Technical Quality:
∎ Provide individual case management for children in Cox’s Bazar following agreed interagency case management steps, protocols, and related tools and procedures
∎ Provide ongoing support to families, including children in foster and alternative care systems, as well as targeted psychosocial support and skills building with caregivers
∎ Communicate regularly with the Project Manager, child protection officer, and IMS officer regarding updates and challenges
∎ Support volunteers in developing work plans and monitoring their work
∎ Work closely with community-based child protection structures in case identification and referral
∎ Grant Monitoring & Reporting:
∎ Provide input for weekly and staff activity reports
∎ Work with database assistant in updating case management database
∎ Coordination & Representation:
∎ Directly communicate effectively with other caseworkers, service providers, and relevant focal points as part of conducting individual case management and coordination of care
∎ Regularly attend case management meetings, including case conferences, at field level
∎ Coordinate with other Agrajattra sector staff (e.g., Women’s Protection and Empowerment, Health, Nutrition, etc.) at the field level
∎ Monitoring Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure accuracy, completion/thoroughness, and confidentiality of case management data entry and data management
∎ Keeping records of cases and compiling them into a weekly report for the supervisor
∎ Other Duties:
∎ Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of field teams; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to Agrajattra management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for Agrajattra's programs
∎ Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop Agrajattra's programs
∎ Experience and Competencies: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
∎ Minimum of 2 years of experience in implementing child protection programs, preferably social work or case management, in humanitarian or development settings
∎ Demonstrated understanding of working with children particularly vulnerable children
∎ Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure well and work in a cross-cultural setting
∎ Proficiency in Chittagong and Bangla is required. English is desirable
∎ Specific Educational Qualification
∎ Technical diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Social Science/ Social Work/ Human Rights or equivalent subjects

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 22 to 45 years

Salary: Tk. 39500 - 40000 (Monthly)
