- Previous experience with planning and implementing USAID funded projects, preferably in Bangladesh or South Asia
- Experience managing gender equality, social inclusion, with strong preference for experience with GBV prevention and/or response programs.

- Experience developing partnerships with and supporting government and private sector actors.
- Proven leadership qualities, and excellent program and personnel management skills.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to guide and mentor staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Expertise in monitoring, evaluation, learning, and adapting, particularly in GBV prevention and/or response programs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work in complex environments and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bangla is preferred.

Responsibilities & Context: Position Overview:
World Concern Bangladesh is seeking a Chief of Party (COP) for the anticipated USAID Bangladesh-funded Communities for Gender Equality (CGE) Activity. The COP will lead the team in implementing an anticipated $16 M USAID-funded project to improve community advocacy against and prevention of violence for at-risk people and gender-based violence (GBV) survivors and increase the ability of public and private service institutions to protect and respond to GBV survivors as well as those most at-risk of GBV.
The COP will oversee all aspects of this project, leading strategic planning and decision-making, providing technical guidance, overseeing activities of the sub-recipients, and supervising staff. Serving as the key liaison with USAID, Ministries, implementing partners, and other stakeholders, the COP will also establish and maintain an integrated vision among different actors while ensuring adherence to all project objectives, performance and reporting requirements, and donor regulations. S/he will oversee the coordination of field operations and ensure that activities meet USAID and World Concern standards.
The position is contingent upon the award of the project by the donor.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategic Direction:
- Lead overall project planning, execution, and management to ensure achievement of project goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to foster inclusive, community-led development programs.
- Ensure integration of project components and collaboration across stakeholders, including government, private sector, civil society, and academia.
Stakeholder Engagement at National High levels with donors and Ministries:
- Serve as the principal liaison with USAID, government officials, local institutions, and other key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with national and local government authorities, donor agencies, the private sector, and other development partners.
- Represent World Concern and the project at high-level meetings, conferences, and forums to share knowledge and advocate for project objectives.
Technical Direction:
- Oversee the development and implementation of innovative and evidence-based technical approaches to enhance community engagement in gender equality, prevention of GBV and effective response for GBV survivors.
- Provide technical guidance on the establishment of a referral system for the GBV survivors in providing health and rehabilitation supports.
- Monitor project performance and oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure project objectives are met at the high-level reporting.
Program Oversight & Compliance:
- Ensure all project activities are in compliance with USAID rules, regulations, and World Concern policies and procedures.
- Oversee project budgets, financial management, and reporting, ensuring timely submission of deliverables and financial reports.
- Identify and manage potential risks and propose adjustments to ensure project targets are achieved within budget and timelines.
Team Management & Development:
- Lead a diverse team of Senior Leadership for effective program operations and management support.
- Provide supervision to DCoP in implementation of the projects. Hiring of the key personnel followed by role clarity
- Foster a culture of learning, adapting, and collaboration, incorporating USAID’s CLA (Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting) principles.
