Job Context:
∎ Applications are invited for the position of Chief Financial officer on the prevailing terms and conditions.
∎ As a key member of the Sr. Management Team, the Chief Financial Officer will assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, job costing, deal analysis and negotiations, and institutional financing.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To provide leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team; and be well-acquainted with software Tally, MIS and Costing.
∎ To oversee the preparation of all accounts and financial reports for the Top Management.
∎ To develop finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
∎ To do accounting research; manage the processes for financial forecasting; prepare and submit Annual Budget.
∎ To manage accounting and financial systems.
∎ To provide financial and accounting strategic advice, direction and leadership.
∎ To project the financial status by reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements.
∎ Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends report.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts of the company.
∎ To ensure compliance of financial legislation, policies and procedures.
∎ To develop and implement purchase policies.
∎ To manage investments and reserves.
∎ To manage Tax, VAT, Customs Duty, C&F Agent, LC, etc.
∎ To have sound knowledge in RMGl legal issues, court of law matters, Joint Stock works, Stock Exchange works, etc.
∎ To have sound knowledge in banking function, loan processing, mortgage, land deed, etc.
∎ To accomplish finance human resource strategies by determining account abilities; communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedures; implementing recruitment, selection, orientation, training, coaching, counseling, disciplinary, and communication programs; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; and planning and reviewing compensation strategies.
∎ Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 7 years working experience as CFO or senior financial managerial position in a Public Limited Company.
∎ Preferable -Chartered Accountant (CA) /ICMA Pass /qualified.
∎ Sound knowledge of Corporate Affairs, RMG, Financial Rules, Company Law, Fiscal Policy, VAT, Taxation Law, and ERP/SAP
∎ Excellent communication skills both in Bengali and English.
