Responsibilities & Context:
∎ A. Leadership & Management
∎ Provide overall leadership and direction for the KANAN center.
∎ Ensure the day-to-day management and smooth operation of the center.
∎ Supervise, guide, and support center staff, including setting work plans and evaluating performance.
∎ B. Program Implementation
∎ Oversee the implementation of programs related to child protection, women’s empowerment, education, counseling, and life skills training.
∎ Ensure individualized case management, psychological support, and rehabilitation plans for each beneficiary.
∎ Monitor reintegration efforts and follow-up with families or alternative care arrangements.
∎ C. Administrative & Financial Management
∎ Manage center budgets, maintain financial records, and ensure proper utilization of funds.
∎ Maintain inventories, supervise procurement, and oversee logistics for the center.
∎ Ensure proper record-keeping, documentation, and reporting as per DAM and donor requirements.
∎ D. Compliance and Safeguarding
∎ Ensure adherence to child protection and gender-based violence (GBV) policies.
∎ Monitor implementation of safeguarding measures and respond to incidents following protocol.
∎ Ensure compliance with national laws, DAM policies, and donor requirements.
∎ E. Coordination & Liaison
∎ Liaise with relevant government departments (e.g., V.S.C, SDSW- Special Needs Developmental Services Worker, Mo(WCA), NGOs, and community stakeholders.
∎ Represent the center in external forums, meetings, and networks.
∎ Facilitate donor and monitoring visits, audits, and evaluations.

∎ Background
∎ Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a leading NGO in Bangladesh working for the spiritual, educational, social, and economic development of people. KANAN is one of DAM’s initiatives to provide shelter, protection, psychosocial support, and life skills to abandoned children and destitute women, enabling them to live in dignity and reintegrate into society.
∎ Purpose of the Position
∎ The Center Manager will be responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and management of the KANAN center. This includes ensuring quality care, protection, and rehabilitation services for the beneficiaries in accordance with national standards and DAM’s mission.
