Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Science or a related field.
A master’s degree or professional certification in environmental management or GIS is an advantage.
Certifications in environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001) or sustainability reporting (e.g., GRI) are advantageous.
Proficiency in GIS software and tools for spatial analysis.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and sustainability practices relevant to Bangladesh.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Fluency in both Bangla and English is must required.
In-depth understanding of Bangladesh`s geographic and environmental landscape, including regional variations, climate patterns, and socio-economic factors.
Strong research skills with the ability to gather data from various sources and synthesize it into meaningful analysis.

Job Responsibilities:
Geographic Analysis: Analyze regional market trends, demographic shifts, and geographic factors that influence business opportunities and risks. Provide actionable insights to optimize market entry and expansion strategies.
Environmental Impact Assessment: Evaluate the environmental impact of our operations, products, and services. Develop strategies to mitigate negative effects and promote sustainability across the company.
Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and analyze data from various sources, including geographic information systems (GIS), environmental reports, and market research, to support business decisions.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential environmental and geographic risks, such as natural disasters, climate change, and regulatory changes. Develop risk mitigation plans to protect the company’s interests.
Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate with the sustainability team to develop and implement environmental initiatives that align with global best practices and local regulations.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all business activities comply with local and international environmental laws and regulations. Stay updated on new policies and provide guidance on compliance requirements.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations based on geographic and environmental analysis.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and sales, supply chain management, land development and other teams to integrate geographic and environmental insights into business strategies.
Project Management: Lead or support projects related to geographic expansion, environmental sustainability, and risk management. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with external stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and environmental organizations, to stay informed about local developments and build partnerships that benefit the company.
