∎ Reports To : Deputy Manager - Mechanical
∎

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervises proper functioning of hospital"s Boiler Plant
∎ Assumes responsibilities from previous shift Operator regarding Boiler operations.
∎ Applies lubricant and grease to blowers, pumps, motors and other equipments as per requirement.
∎ Maintains steam pressure at optimum level through efficient use of the controlling apparatuses.
∎ Monitors daily level of fuel (Diesel and Gas), hot water consumption and use of consumables.
∎ Performs maintenance works and troubleshooting
∎ Cleans the equipments and plant area in a regular basis.
∎ Performs, boiler de-scaling, softener regeneration and such other tasks as per requirement.
∎ Performs preventive maintenance works as per schedule.
∎ Takes part in troubleshooting works according to supervisor:s instruction.
∎ Informs supervisor about spares requirement on time.
∎ Reports to due authority on his works
∎ Reports on daily activities.
∎ Fills up Employees Log Book about major plant activities.
∎ Prepares necessary documents as per recommendation of audit authorities and supervisors.
∎ Process any other request as per supervisor's instruction.
∎ Helps the departmental activities to operate smoothly
∎ Responses to emergency alarm from any engineering plant.
∎ Looks after the medical gas plant when MGP operator is not present in the plant.
∎ Assists in refilling of medical gas cylinders and transporting to patient areas.
∎ Receive Gas Cylinder from LINDE BANGLADESH LIMITED.
∎ Receives phone calls in maintenance call center regarding maintenance problems of any kind and transfer it to respective employees.
∎ Receive, handle and keep record of LPG cylinder from suppliers.
∎ Participates in renovation and new project works whenever necessary.
∎ Executes Medical Gas requirement
∎ Deliver Nitrogen Oxygen and other gases of required pressure and temperature in OT.
∎ Control flow of Oxygen and other gases in OT, ICU.
∎ Ensure all gas cylinder cleanness and NFPA sticker.
∎ Additional Job Responsibilities :
∎ Participation in Development Programs
∎ Attends all Mandatory Safety Training conducted by AHD.
∎ Attends all Departmental Training conducted by Facility Management Department.
∎ Participate in Fire Drills, Internal Disaster Drills and other practical disaster management sessions.
∎ Perform role as per firefighting protocol in case of any drill or actual situation.
∎ Clear understanding of responsibility
∎ Requirements regarding Boiler & Medical gas plant operation, temperature control and airflow needed from any department are fulfilled timely.
∎ Troubles with Boiler & Medical gas plant operations are handled according to the merit of troubles and advises are taken from the supervisors as deemed appropriate.
∎ All of the machines are maintained in a clean and proper condition according to the instructions.
∎ Activity reports are prepared in prescribed manner with every required detail.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ 2nd Class certification on Boiler Operation issued by Government authority.
∎ Technical Competencies:
∎ A clear understanding on construction and functioning of Boiler Operation.
∎ A common level of practical knowledge on electrical & electronics appliances commonly used for Medical Gas & Boiler purposes.
∎ Working knowledge on safety and maintenance measures of Boiler & Medical Gas Plant and other machines.
∎ Experience or training on any Boiler & Medical Gas Plant operations related program is preferable.
∎ Impulsive towards emergency.
∎ Communication skills in English and Bangla.
