Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct Behavioral Assessments
∎ Observe clients to identify behavioral issues and triggers.
∎ Administer formal assessments such as the Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) or ABC (Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence) analysis.
∎ Develop Individualized Treatment Plans
∎ Create behavior intervention plans (BIPs) tailored to each client’s needs.
∎ Set measurable goals and objectives based on assessment data.
∎ Implement Behavior Intervention Techniques Use methods such as positive reinforcement, modeling, desensitization, and systematic prompting to encourage desired behaviors.
∎ Address behaviors such as aggression, self-harm, social withdrawal, or communication deficits.
∎ Monitor and Track Progress Collect and analyze data on client behavior and therapy effectiveness.
∎ Modify interventions as needed based on ongoing evaluation.
∎ Collaborate with Other Professionals Work with psychologists, teachers, social workers, and family members.
∎ Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to ensure consistency across environments.
∎ Provide Client and Caregiver Training Teach parents, caregivers, or teachers how to implement strategies at home or school.
∎ Offer guidance and support to ensure consistent behavioral management.
∎ Maintain Ethical and Confidential Standards Uphold HIPAA and professional ethics (e.g., those set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board if applicable).
∎ Keep accurate records and documentation.
∎ Stay Informed and Updated Attend training, workshops, or pursue certification in relevant areas (e.g., ABA, CBT).
∎ Keep current with research and best practices in behavioral therapy.
