Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary:

An AutoCAD Operator is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software. They work closely with engineers, architects, designers, and project managers to produce accurate drawings for construction, manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, or civil projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD.

• Convert hand sketches, survey data, and design concepts into technical drawings.

• Revise drawings based on client or engineer feedback.

• Ensure drawings comply with company standards and project specifications.

• Maintain drawing records and document control.

• Coordinate with engineering, architectural, or project teams.

• Perform quantity take-offs and basic drafting calculations when required.

• Print, plot, and distribute drawings as needed.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD software.

• Good understanding of technical drawing standards.

• Knowledge of engineering or architectural drawings.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to interpret sketches, plans, and specifications.

• Basic knowledge of MS Office applications.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field.

• AutoCAD certification preferred.

• 1–3 years of drafting experience (or as required by the employer).
