Skills Required: Additional Requirements: Responsibilities & Context: - Manage daily accounting operations and bookkeeping, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant policies and standards.
- Oversee inventory management: tracking raw materials, recording production issues, and maintaining finished goods stock levels.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (customer invoicing, follow-ups, collections & customers' ledger reconciliation) and Accounts Payable (supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliation).
- VAT Management: Prepare and maintain MUSHAK forms (6.1, 6.2, 6.3, 6.6, 6.7, 6.8, 6.10, 9.1 & 4.3), ensure compliance with VAT laws and regulations.
- Tax Management: Calculate and deposit TDS, VDS, withholding tax return; prepare annual tax compliance; ensure proper documentation; liaise with tax authorities.
- Manage import documentation and processes, customs duties, and bill of entry, and ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
- Manage cash flow and bank accounts, perform bank and ledger reconciliations, handle banking correspondences (email, letter, and other relevant communication), and ensure accuracy and completeness. Oversee offline and online banking procedures (RTGS, BEFTN, NPSB, self-internet banking).
- Prepare periodic financial statements (monthly, quarterly) and lead preparation of annual financial statements.
- Support internal and external audits; provide necessary schedules, explanations, and reconciliation as required.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (procurement, operations, sales, HR) to ensure financial controls and compliance embedded in business processes.
- Maintain proper financial records, ensure adherence to internal policies and NBR regulations (VAT Act, Tax Act & Customs Act, etc.).
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements in financial processes, ERP/accounting systems for efficiency, control, and accuracy.
- Any other duties assigned by supervisor or senior management as required.
- Prior experience in import-export documentation and customs rules will be a plus.
- Support for the supervisor to prepare reports before the deadline and any other relevant tasks.
