Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the direct supervision of Homeroom Teacher /Classroom Teacher and Overall supervision of CT/Head of Primary the incumbent is responsible to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
∎ Serving in the position of Assistant Teacher for Primary (PYP);
∎ Implementing the instructional activities as outlined by the Homeroom Teacher/ Classroom Teacher;
∎ Ensuring that students are actually engaged in meaningful learning experiences;
∎ Communicating effectively both orally and in writing with students, parents, and other professionals;
∎ Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community. This includes confidentiality;
∎ Implementing the day to day program under the direction of the Homeroom Teacher/ Classroom Teacher & Coordinator;
∎ Assisting in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers and preparing required materials and supplies;
∎ Maintaining a professional attitude and loyalty to the School at all times. This includes confidentiality.
∎ Reporting to the Homeroom Teacher/ Classroom Teacher regarding problems with the children;
∎ Observing, recording and reporting on the behavior of individual children as assigned;
∎ Supervising the students outside the school building during recess, lunch & after school as per the duty schedule;
∎ Carrying out the responsibilities as the Homeroom Teacher/Classroom Teacher in the absence of the Homeroom Teacher/ Classroom Teacher;
∎ Attending staff meeting and following instructions as per the discussion;
∎ Participating in professional development sessions as organized by the school;
∎ Carrying out other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in International English medium school;
∎ Having IB curriculum training and experience will be given high preference;
∎ A high level of proficiency in English (both verbal & written) is essential.
