Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3–4 years of hands-on experience in electrical, medical, or scientific equipment-related work.
  • Proven experience in tendering, sales, and client handling in the medical/scientific sector.
  • Strong practical knowledge in installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment.
  • Proficiency in preparing technical documents, cost estimates, and comparative analyses.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel and work in different project locations across Bangladesh.
  • Commitment to safety, accuracy, and timely completion of tasks.

Other Competencies

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (for doing service visits, presenting to clients, coordinating with teams).
  • Computer competency (MS Office, documentation, maybe some software tools for calibration or equipment logs).
  • Willingness to travel, do site work, etc., in some cases (especially for service/installation roles).
  • Safety mindset, reliability, ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.



Responsibilities & Context:

Sunbeam Associates is seeking a skilled and dedicated Assistant Sales Engineer & Medical Physicist (Sales Executive) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have solid experience in the field of medical and scientific equipment, with a strong understanding of sales, project supervision, and tendering processes. The position involves both office-based and field assignments.

This role also encompasses managing the complete tendering process—from identifying opportunities and preparing compliant proposals to coordinate submissions and ensuring successful contract execution. The candidates should possess excellent technical acumen, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, suppliers, and project teams.

Tendering & Procurement Responsibilities:

  • Identify and track relevant sales opportunities from private and government institutions, law enforcement agencies, and corporate clients.
  • Prepare responsive, technically sound, and competitive tender submissions in line with client requirements and legal standards.
  • Source and liaise with foreign principals or manufacturers for tender-based projects.
  • Collect quotations, negotiate with suppliers/vendors, and recommend the best product or spare parts based on technical specifications and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain complete documentation for estimates, budgets, comparative statements, work orders, measurements, and other project-related records.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, clarification sessions, and site visits as required.
  • Maintain a record of tender submissions, bid results, award status, and contractual terms.
  • Prepare tender outcome reports, win/loss analyses, and develop strategies for future bidding.
  • Negotiate post-award terms, pricing, and contract adjustments when applicable.

Communication & Coordination:

  • Work closely with the management team, project staff, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain strong coordination with colleagues, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project deadlines.
  • Support emergency project needs on a 24/7 basis, including weekends and holidays when necessary.
  • Be willing to work in both on-site and in-office environments as project demands require.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by the management.
