• At least BSc or preferably MSc in Urban Planning/Development Studies/ Environmental Science/Engineering.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE      

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the development sector (preferably in urban sanitation, DRR and climate change, women empowerment program).
• Experience of using different tools like CRMC, gender analysis.
• Experience in working with municipal infrastructure development and governance system improvement.
• Excellent facilitation, coordination, team management, reporting, and presentation skill.
• Ability to work and lead a multi-cultural team and meeting deadlines.
• Fluency in English language and proficiency in computer application.
• Willing and able to travel independently outside station.

Based in Narayanganj the Assistant Officer will be responsible to support development of women adaptation lab and engage the groups in development locally led adaptation plan in partnership, active engagement and close coordination with municipalities. Below are key responsibilities. S/he will be responsible for formation of women's group, organize consultation meeting wit technical experts of women’s adaptation solution, organize community dialogue and conduct regular meetings with different groups and organization. 

• Design, Development, and Finalization of women adaptation lad
• Capacity Building of women's adaptation lab, key project staff, government officials and municipal representatives about the objectives of Women's adaptation lab. 
• Responsible to develop training module, guidelines to build capacity of different actors.
• Coordinate between different project teams and provide necessary support on components related to urban sanitation planning.
• Work in close collaboration with multiple project teams who are responsible for implementation of various projects to determine the strategies for incorporating CSP.
• Support communications unit with development of communication materials, brochures and other relevant products on CSP for popularizing the project interventions among different stakeholders.
• Maintain liaisons with different stakeholders and represent Practical Action in coordination meetings and external events.
• Build rapport and professional relation with the relevant GoB, local alliances, NGO, local government, civil society, private organizations, and individuals.
• Regular collaboration with municipal authorities, City Sanitation Working Group (CSWG) and relevant stakeholder to implement project.
• Conduct regular follow up and monitoring of the activities to track the progress by ensuring quality.
• Support to produce quality reports for donor and provide input to quarterly progress and annual impact review report for organization.
