To ensure proper financial management, transparency, and accountability in various donor-funded and organizational projects, we are looking for a qualified and dynamic professional for the position of Assistant Manager – Project Accounts.The incumbent will be responsible for managing project accounting functions, preparing financial reports, maintaining liaison with donors and relevant stakeholders, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and supporting management with accurate financial analysis and projections. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently within deadlines.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of comprehensive project budgets in collaboration with the Project Management and Finance teams, ensuring financial feasibility and alignment with organizational goals.
Monitor and analyze project financial performance using Tally, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement to support strategic decision-making.
Review and evaluate Monthly Management Reports and Project Summary Reports, providing insightful recommendations for financial optimization and operational efficiency.
Formulate and oversee annual financial budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting of variances.
Supervise the maintenance of project-specific accounts, including ledgers, vouchers, and related documentation in compliance with accounting standards and donor requirements.
Ensure accurate recording, classification, and reconciliation of all project-related income and expenditures.
Verify and prepare all financial statements—including Receipts & Payments Accounts, Income & Expenditure Accounts, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements—in prescribed formats.
Oversee payment processing for vendors, trainers, consultants, and other project-related activities, ensuring compliance with financial policies and internal controls.
Support the procurement team by ensuring financial compliance, documentation integrity, and adherence to donor and organizational guidelines during purchases.
Ensure all financial transactions comply with donor requirements, organizational policies, and relevant government regulations.
Lead and coordinate internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely submission of documentation and prompt response to audit observations.
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and final project financial reports to both donors and internal management with accuracy and timeliness.
Conduct regular bank reconciliations, ensuring proper alignment between financial statements and project expenditures.
Collaborate effectively with project coordinators, procurement officers, and central accounts to ensure seamless financial integration across all project functions.
Participate in project review meetings, providing data-driven financial insights and recommendations to management.
Maintain an organized and secure system for digital and physical financial records, ensuring accessibility and confidentiality.
Exercise strong budgetary control, reviewing financial proposals and ensuring expenditures remain within approved limits.
Maintain professional liaison with clients, tax authorities, financial advisors, and auditors, addressing tax and compliance matters proactively.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems, policies, and procedures to enhance transparency and accountability.
Perform any other tasks assigned by the Management to support the overall financial and strategic objectives of the organization.
