Experience:

• At least 12 years

Post-graduation from sociology, social science, anthropology, development studies, or other relevant disciplines. Preference will be given to PhD degree holders.

Candidates with a 3rd division or a CGPA of less than 2 on a scale of 4 or 2.5 on a scale of 5 at any stage of their education need not apply.

Experience Requirements :

Total 12 years of experience in between minimum of 10 years’ experience in research within the NGO/INGO/Development or Humanitarian sector and proven leadership skills.

Job Requirements :

 Report writing both Bangla in English, analyze data for decision making and participation.

 Strong analytical and conceptual skills.

 Strong communication skill in both verbal and written in English and Bangla.

Jagorani Chakra Foundation (JCF) is a nationally recognized non-governmental development organization and a leading microfinance institution (MFI) in Bangladesh. Applications are invited from qualified and eligible Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Assistant Director in the Research and Planning Department.

The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting and supporting a wide range of research and analytical activities within the organization. JCF invites competent, motivated, and suitably experienced professionals to apply for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

 Lead the preparation and implementation of the organization's Strategic Plan in consultation with senior management and stakeholders.

 Develop annual work plans and performance targets aligned with strategic objectives.

 Coordinate planning across departments to ensure integration and consistency.

 Conduct situational and environmental analyses to make planning.

 Developing and implementing the institutional research strategy and policy framework.

 Leading multidisciplinary research teams and ensuring high-quality research outputs.

 Managing research staff and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and integrity.

 Preparing policy briefs, publications and reports for executive and board-level review.

 Ensuring ethical research practices and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

 Promoting a culture of innovation, academic integrity and cross-sector collaboration.

 Representing the organization at conferences, academic panels and international national/ research forums.

 Follow the organization's Child Safeguarding, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), Gender, Money laundering, Whistle Blowing and other Policies.

During the six-month probationary period, the consolidated monthly salary will be BDT 70,000. Upon successful completion of the probation period and subsequent confirmation of service, the monthly salary will be BDT 89,520.
