ESDO was established in 1988 with the aim of supporting poor and marginalized people affected by the devastating flood and gradually moving towards achieving a broader vision of achieving sustainable, secured, and resilient livelihoods for these poor and marginalized people through improving their overall sustainable development. For the last more than three and a half decades of its development journey, ESDO has set an outstanding example of a sustainable development model for the underprivileged communities of Bangladesh. ESDO has been working in the country's primarily unserved and underserved locations, nurturing a community-focused participatory approach and people's ownership. Position Overview
ESDO is looking for a dedicated, disciplined, and performance-driven professional for the position of Area Manager to ensure smooth and effective implementation of Micro Finance operations at the area level. The role requires strong field engagement, supervision, and target achievement.
Duty Station: Field-Based (Assigned Area under Zonal Office)
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate branch operations within the assigned area
Ensure achievement of loan disbursement, recovery, savings, and client outreach targets
Maintain OTR ≥ 98% and PAR ≤ 5%
Monitor and support Branch Managers and field staff (AM/FO)
Conduct regular field visits, center visits, and portfolio verification
Ensure strict discipline, compliance, and operational efficiency
Identify operational gaps and take immediate corrective actions
Implement cluster-based geographical model and digital MF system (SISTE)
Ensure zero tolerance for financial irregularities and misconduct
Prepare and submit area-level reports to Zonal Manager
Support staff motivation, coaching, and retention
