Responsibilities & Context:
Repair and maintain of Air Conditioners, washers, dryers, and small appliances
Plans, monitors, installs and adjusts the full range of heating, cooling, ventilation and refrigeration equipment by means of an energy management system hands-on work
Troubleshoots, maintains, modifies and repairs heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems and equipment including heat exchangers, fans and fan motors, pumps and pump motors, electric and pneumatic controls and associated safety, over current and other equipment protection devices ensuring that they operate at peak efficiency and conserve energy usage
Performs installation of mechanical systems to include piping and modifications to existing facility’s cooling systems
Monitors work done by outside contractors for adherence to state and federal code requirements and report back to supervisor
Perform any and all duties which may be assigned
Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on packaged units, split coil systems, air compressors, pumps, air handlers, air cooled condensers and various heat exchangers
Must perform duties and responsibilities of a Journeyman level mechanic with strong a background in HVAC and refrigeration equipment to include hands on experience in operating and troubleshooting industrial systems
Installation of mechanical systems to include piping and modifications to existing facilities cooling systems
