Educational Requirements:
∎ A Bachelor Degree (preferably in Fashion Design) from any reputed university
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and plan for home & décor related product design, research and develop purpose concepts in line with brand value, current and upcoming fashion forecasts, and translate local and global home decoration trends into physical collections.
∎ Develop process for home decoration products which includes market research, mood board creation, design themes development, sketching and scheduling implementation, and fitting with the yearly projection.
∎ Ensure plan and execution of the seasonal color and demand concept, styling sketches, and design layouts for the right home decoration products.
∎ Responsible for visualizing and determining strategic direction for in-time design and production of home décor in conjunction with supply chain departments and production management units/parties.
∎ Ensure proper coordination of home decor photo shoot for different seasons and campaigns to enhance brand image.
∎ Develop a strategic fabric plan and ensure yearly fabric requirement in alignment with production plan based on yearly targets, design, new fashion, current trends, and brand values.
∎ Responsible for managing all aspects of the fabric development process including internal and external market research, raw materials in swatch and garment form, testing, and communicating with fabric suppliers.
∎ Assist to ensure fabric quality benchmark which includes dyeing, printing, and finishing processes, experiment with color and texture, and ensure quality in areas such as strength, durability, colorfastness, and chemical resistance with Textile Division and other vendors.
∎ Conduct stock and requirements analysis of fabric source and select from local and international sources in conjunction with other departments.
∎ Responsible for managing staff in all aspects of Home & Decor and Textile and accountable for process improvement, growing business and seeking opportunities to positively affect home decor and textile design process.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Minimum 10 years of experience in Fashion/ Product design with 3 years experience in similar role
∎ Knowledge of current design trends, product development, Color sense, texture and pattern concept
∎ Knowledge of market research and analysis
∎ Must have the analytical ability, and effective communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and presentation skills
