Job Context:
∎ Reports To : Secretary, Khani Bangladesh
∎ Job Purpose : To support KHANI`s Advocacy and Campaign activities of the project `Campaign on RtFN in Bangladesh (RtFN,B) supported by Bread for the World.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead the development and implementation of an advocacy strategy for Food Security Network- KHANI Bangladesh. Support KHANI leadership to articulate their top priority advocacy objectives in line with the project 'Campaign on RtFN in Bangladesh (RtFN,B);
∎ Develop relevant material for campaigning and policy purposes e.g. public leaflets, letters to MPs, Primer, One pager, written and AV.
∎ Identify key issues to be raised to the National and global level and lead or contribute to the development of briefings, talking points and messages on these issues;
∎ Ensure that KHANI receives national recognition for achieving proven and innovative national impact from well-managed Right to Food and Smallholders Rights Campaign in Bangladesh;
∎ Organise, facilitate and attend meetings, conferences, teleconferences and other processes with Khani members and others to share information and to agree common strategies and initiatives; and also participate in meetings with partners and others, specifically Government and RtFN related meetings.
∎ Maintain good working relationships with government officials, Low Commission of Bangladesh, National Human Rights Commission, FAO Country office, local and international partners.
∎ Identify opportunities for news stories of RtFN and help pitch them with journalists.
∎ Provide logistical and other support to KHANI members by preparing events guideline, making PPT, Campaign brief and RtFN related information.
∎ Translate materials as and when requested.

Additional Requirements:
∎ More than 2 -4 years of experience in a similar position will be preferable.
∎ Excellent command over written and oral Bangla and English
∎ Good, relevant communication, interviewing, advocacy and research experience;
∎ Energetic, outgoing and vibrant person to drive advocacy and campaigning in an enthusiastic and innovative way;
∎ Fulfill an outward-facing role in the organization and would thus be required to be professional, presentable, flexible and an outstanding and reliable ambassador for Khani, Bangladesh;
∎ Public speaking, presentation, facilitation and event management skills;
∎ Experience in advocacy and campaign development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation is essential;
∎ Experience and knowledge of Right to Food, Smallholders Rights and Agriculture sectors in Bangladesh;
∎ Critical thinker and able to use initiative and work autonomously;
∎ Organized, adaptable, enthusiastic and results driven, with a passion to make a difference;
∎ Proven ability in managing and fostering relations with stakeholders;
∎ Ability to manage a complex and varied work load and to work under pressure - Strong communication skills, both oral and written

Salary:
∎ BDT. 45000- 49500
