Educational Requirements:
∎ Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/ Accountancy/ Economics/ Banking with professional accountancy qualifications (Senior Accountant/ ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalents), and/ or MBA in Finance.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ To be responsible for the overall financial accounting of the company for the operations in Bangladesh.
∎ To manage all financial activities in compliance with accounting standards, statutory filing requirements; and reporting in line with Group's standards and emphasis on accurate, timely reporting and accountability
∎ To be responsible for all financial and accounting functions of the group and oversee its daily operations.
∎ To oversee areas such as general accounting, cash flow, treasury operations, credit control, risk management process, taxation matters, and statutory financial reporting
∎ To assist the Country Manager on all strategic and tactical matters relating to budget management, cost benefit analysis and forecasting needs
∎ To review, enforce and monitor effective internal control system to ensure all corporate financial policies and procedures including both regulatory and internal governance/audit requirements are followed and implemented.
∎ To study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.
∎ To review, manage and structure the company's financial and management reporting systems and streamline processes to provide management with relevant and timely financial information. To provide strategic and financial advice for the business.
∎ To Co-ordinate and prepare annual budgets, including operating, capital expenditure budgets monthly financial and management reports and perform variance analysis.
∎ To manage company funds investment to achieve the target annual return.
∎ To arrange for trade financing, responsible for overall funds flow requirements of the company, and investment opportunities.
∎ To work closely with Corporate Office to monitor and achieve set targets for the relevant KPIs.
∎ To liaise with investors, shareholders, bankers, auditors, tax advisors, company secretary and regulatory bodies
∎ To provide professional accounting/finance advice to Management from the aspect of best practice, local statutory requirement, banking facilities and taxation issue.
∎ To provide commercial supports on the company's business operations with regards to tenders, contracts, agreements especially in relations to project documents such as the Power Purchase Agreements, Fuel Supply Agreements, etc.
∎ To identify operation and system improvement areas for the finance function and manage change implementation process.
∎ To efficiently analyze and understand key value drivers and facilitate decision to positive influence business results.
∎ To ensure compliance with statutory authority and audit requirements, including filing of documents with the appropriate government authority as required.
∎ To develop & maintain financial models for business analysis and planning purposes.
∎ To keep abreast in changes in financial regulations and legislations.
∎ To adapt and embrace expanding responsibilities as business requirement changes

Additional Requirements:
∎ A fully certified/qualified Accountant with at least 14 year(s) of working experience in the related field of which minimum 10 years holding management capacity.
∎ Strong technical expertise in and current tax regulations.
∎ Proficient in statutory requirements.
∎ Experience in liaising with bankers on funding requirements & project accounting
∎ Experience in banking, financial institution, financial modelling covering energy sector
∎ Solid consolidation accounting experience.
∎ Experience in power industry and IPP operation is essential.
∎ Experience specializing in Power related Corporate Finance/Investment/ or equivalent will be an advantage.
∎ Regional and/or international experience will be an added advantage.
∎ Experience in budgeting and budget preparation for companies whose assets are in excess of 500 million dollars.
∎ Proven track record in influencing and building effective working relationships with senior stakeholders.
∎ Strong commercial background and has previous experience of working with a power related project
∎ Good interpersonal and time management skills.
∎ Able to work independently and is a dynamic team player with leadership skills & high level of initiatives.
∎ Possess a high level of integrity, mature, pro-active, analytical, meticulous, and able to meet deadlines.
∎ Committed, self-motivated, independent and has the ability to work under pressure with accuracy
∎ Excellent analytical skills are essential.
