∎ Working experience on financial management with any development organization.
∎ Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Ability to operate Accounting Software.
∎ Good interpersonal and team working skills.
∎ Ability to prepare Financial Reports and linking with programs implemented.
∎ Ability to prepare document report in both English and Bangla.
∎ Cultural sensitivity and ability to respect and work well with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.
∎ Willingness to stay and operate project at remote area.
∎ Physically and mentally sound with good health, smart, energetic, ability to work in all situation and environment.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): General knowledge about deprived children, their life, problems and requirements, laws and policies for them. She/ He also should have skill to work in slum area and other places where deprived children mostly gather.
∎ Demonstrated ability to work in development projects.
∎ Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word and Power Point.
∎ Applicants should have interest to work in a team, in the slum areas of Dhaka City for the purpose of serving the disadvantaged children.
∎ Strong understanding of child rights, Gender equality, Child Marriage, Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) in normal and emergency situation.
∎ Ability to communicate with people from different cultures.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Manage accounts & finance of the project.
∎ Keep all administrative papers and documents in line with standard accepted best practices.
∎ Coordinate and liaison with Project Manager and external authorities.
∎ Establish compliance with administrative systems of the lead organization and ensure discipline.
∎ Process all requisitions from centers and ensure timely dispatch of logistics and supplies to centers.
∎ Arrange all procurement as per the requirement and the budget provision.
∎ Prepare and submit accurate financial reports of monthly/quarterly following the donor template within the deadline.
∎ Prepare three-monthly budget forecast, with quarterly and monthly budget break-down, for projects.
∎ Prepare and submit monthly financial requisition to project management in alignment with approved project budgets.
∎ Implement and monitor budgetary control activities.
∎ Develop monthly variance report of the budgeted and actual expenses showing the reasons for variance.
∎ Provide financial analysis to management for early decision making.
∎ Flag low burn-rate against a line item or anticipated over expenditure.
∎ Work closely with project team to develop project budgets and ensure appropriateness of budget figures.
∎ Prepare daily receipts and payment vouchers journal vouchers of project related expenses; Perform other duties as and when necessary and assigned by the management.
∎ Maintaining Cash book, bank book, General ledger, subsidiary ledger(S) and other required register(s)
∎ Ensure that VAT and Tax is deducted, Deposited and documented as per Government Rules.
∎ Prepare the monthly bank reconciliation statement(s)
∎ Maintain the fixed assets register both for assets & stores of the project.
∎ Ensure all financial reports and budgets are accurate.
∎ Perform periodic checks and verifies different finance and accounts related reports, documents and compliance requirements;
∎ Develop financial statement for NGO Affair’s Bureau and local administration.
∎ Arrange Monthly / weekly Coordination meeting, workshop, campaign and other events with Project Manager.
∎ Perform other duties as and when necessary and assigned by the management.
∎ Action for Social Development (ASD) is inviting application from committed & progressive development worker for the position of Accounts cum Admin Officer for Ensuring Rights of GDW (ERG) Project funded by SHAPLA NEER = Citizens' Committee in Japan for Overseas Support. Candidates having at least 5 years’ work experience in similar type of position and willing to work anywhere in Dhaka City is requested to apply.
