  • Strong MS Excel skills, with the ability to manage spreadsheets and analyze data.

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Overview

Ayanuk Pty is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling daily accounting tasks, be proficient with accounting software, and possess strong organizational skills. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records by entering transactions, reconciling accounts, and managing financial documentation.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and reports by compiling and organizing financial data.

  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.

  • Perform bank reconciliations, verifying discrepancies, and resolving any issues related to financial transactions.

  • Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in employee records and adherence to company policies.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including account analysis, journal entries, and reconciliation.

  • Assist with tax filings and ensure compliance with local financial regulations.

  • Respond to accounting queries and support the senior accounting team with audit preparation and documentation.
