∎ Secondary School Certificate (SSC) with at least a certificate course in electrical Technology, must be capable of maintaining Generator, repairing and maintaining the Air Conditioners and other electric appliances.

∎ At least 2-3 years of working experience as AC technician cum Electrician.
∎ Completion of electrician apprenticeship.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Maintain Generator, Air Conditioners and other electrical equipment and arrange repairing and replacing defective parts of various electrical appliances as per decision of the authority.
∎ Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
∎ Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
∎ Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components with a view to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
∎ Periodically Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
∎ Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
∎ Preventive testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring. Equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohm meters, volt meters and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
∎ Do any other duties of similar nature which is not covered by the above item & that may be assigned by the Hospital Management in the interest of the patients as well as of public service during emergency?
