∎ Preferably with Shima Seiki APEX3/APEX4/ApexFizz software
∎ Experience working in a fast-paced fashion or sportswear brand.
∎ Knowledge of CLO 3D, Browzwear, or other 3D apparel design software is a plus.
∎ Ability to optimize Shima Seiki knit programs for mass production.
∎ Prior experience in seamless knitwear or whole-garment design.
∎ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

∎ As a 3D Designer, you will brainstorm and collaborate with colleagues from global 3D Design teams.
∎ We are looking for a highly skilled ‘‘Flat Knit 3D Designer’’ with expertise in Shima Seiki APEX software to join our team in Dhaka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing innovative 3D knitwear designs, simulating knit structures, and optimizing virtual prototypes to streamline the design-to-production process. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and production teams to create high-quality, production-ready knitwear designs.
∎ Key Responsibilities : 3D Knitwear Design & Simulation:
∎ Develop and visualize 3D virtual knitwear designs using Shima Seiki APEX software.
∎ Create realistic simulations of knit structures, stitch patterns, and textures.
∎ Ensure accurate representation of fabric drape, elasticity, and knitting techniques in 3D prototypes.
∎ Knitwear Development:
∎ Translate creative concepts into technical knitwear CADs and virtual samples.
∎ Collaborate with designers to refine garment silhouettes, fit, and details in a digital environment.
∎ Ensure designs align with trend forecasts, material feasibility, and brand aesthetics.
∎ Technical Collaboration:
∎ Develop knitting programs and stitch settings for seamless execution on Shima Seiki knitting machines.
∎ Work closely with R&D teams, knitwear technicians, and factories to ensure production feasibility.
∎ Modify gauge, tension, and structure parameters to optimize quality and efficiency.
∎ File Preparation & Documentation:
∎ Organize APEX files, 3D renders, and tech packs for production handover.
∎ Maintain a library of stitch databases, yarn simulations, and digital prototypes.
∎ Provide clear instructions for factory execution and troubleshooting.
∎ Innovation & Process Improvement:
∎ Explore new possibilities in virtual knitting, digital sampling, and sustainable knitwear solutions.
∎ Reduce physical prototyping time and costs by leveraging 3D simulation accuracy.
∎ Stay updated on Shima Seiki software advancements, knit trends, and digital fashion technologies
∎ Technical Skills:
∎ Strong understanding of knitwear construction, yarn properties, and stitch techniques.
∎ Experience in 3D virtual garment creation with a focus on knitwear.
∎ Ability to interpret design briefs and translate them into digital prototypes.
∎ Technical knowledge of flatbed knitting machines and programming.
∎ Familiarity with knitwear production processes, material constraints, and fit adjustments.
