Education:
∎ Fresh Graduate (bachelor’s degree) in Economics, Finance or relevant discipline related to Business Administration - with good academic results throughout the academic career. Post graduation will be preferred.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Job Purpose
∎ As part of the Universal Access Programme Team, the Young Professional will collectively engage in developing solutions to ensure Health Protection for marginalized communities, encompassing access to sustainable and safe water, sanitation, and hygiene for all. The role will present an exciting challenge, involving collaboration with the private sector, implementing partners, and other development entities. It also encompasses involvement in various lobbying and communication campaigns in addition to practical learning through on-the-job training.

∎ Key Responsibilities
∎ • Engage with the Shasthya Nirapotta Scheme (SNS) and relevant teams within the organisation to contribute to strategic planning and implementation of health protection initiatives, aligning closely with WaterAid's mission, vision, values, and principles.
∎ • Assist in facilitating the establishment of effective connections between insurance brokers, insurance companies, partner NGOs, and other stakeholders involved in the SNS.
∎ • Assist in designing and developing comprehensive training modules, guidelines, and communication materials tailored for target communities and ensure their effective dissemination.
∎ • Support in promoting the enrolment and renewal processes for the SNS, ensuring the inclusion of sanitation workers.
∎ • Assist in coordinating the day-to-day operations of the SNS, working closely with relevant stakeholders to streamline processes.
∎ • Support in implementing and managing a robust tracking mechanism to monitor and evaluate the participation of beneficiaries in the health protection scheme/SNS.
∎ • Support in developing and maintaining a database to track the number of beneficiaries availing health benefits from the insurance scheme, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
∎ • Engage with relevant stakeholders to analyse the data and generate regular reports for management, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning.
∎ • Assist in formulating strategies and proposing innovative solutions to enhance the quality of services at project locations, making interventions inclusive and gender-friendly.
∎ • Assist in developing business plans and executing the roll-out of SNS, emphasizing efficient contractual arrangements, cost recovery mechanisms, and operational modalities.
∎ • Conduct regular visits to project locations, liaising with the team to provide necessary support to partner organisations based on their specific needs.
∎ • Support knowledge-sharing activities by capturing, documenting, and disseminating project learning, best practices, and success stories.
∎ • Assist in organising and facilitating training sessions and workshops for project stakeholders, for effective capacity building.
∎ • Support in documentation, reporting, and presentation of project-related information, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
∎ These responsibilities will be reviewed with the line manager from time to time and shall be adjusted with organisational priorities.

∎ Working Hours
∎ Full time (05 days, minimum 37.5 hours per week)

∎ Contract Tenure
∎ 12 months, non-extendable

∎ Travel
∎ Willingness to travel on a regular basis to remote areas of Bangladesh is required. 20-40% time should be dedicated to filed visits.

∎ Ways of Working
∎ Includes but not limited, work closely with members of Universal Access team. Also maintain working relationship with colleagues from other departments/teams within the organisation and partner/collaborating organisation.
