Experience Requirements

• 7–10 years of practical experience in Garment Washing, Wash Technician, Wash QC, Wash Development, or Washing Production.

Additional Requirements

• Strong practical knowledge of garment washing and wash quality control.
• Sound knowledge of knit and woven garment washing.
• Good knowledge of wash recipe development and chemical applications.
• Ability to develop samples according to buyer TFS and approved wash standards.
• Strong knowledge of washing defects, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
• Good communication, coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight shipment deadlines.
• Honest, responsible, dynamic, and self-driven.
• Good command of English will be an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Look after and monitor the overall garment washing production and quality control process.
• Ensure the complete garment washing process is carried out according to SOPs, buyer requirements, approved wash standards, and TFS.
• Develop and execute washing processes and recipes for different types of knit and woven garments.
• Develop wash samples and presentations according to buyer requirements and seasonal trends.
• Ensure wash samples are properly developed, monitored, and submitted to buyers for approval on time.
• Monitor washing parameters including temperature, time, chemicals, water ratio, pH, machine loading, and other technical requirements.
• Ensure bulk washing production follows the approved wash sample and buyer specifications.
• Conduct regular quality inspections throughout the washing and finishing process.
• Check shade, hand feel, appearance, softness, abrasion, enzyme, bleach, stone wash, garment damage, stains, color variation, and other wash-related quality parameters.
• Identify washing and quality problems and take immediate corrective actions to minimize re-wash, rejection, and production loss.
• Work closely with the Washing Production, QA/QC, Merchandising, Sampling, and Factory teams to ensure smooth production.
• Follow buyer comments and requirements sincerely and ensure they are implemented correctly during production.
• Provide technical support and guidelines to washing operators, production teams, and local partners.
• Monitor washing production output, productivity, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Ensure production is completed according to the required shipment schedule.
• Minimize production costs, chemical consumption, re-work, and wastage while maintaining required quality standards.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for washing defects and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain proper records of wash recipes, trial reports, approvals, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
• Communicate and coordinate with buyers, merchandisers, sample departments, factories, and relevant teams regarding technical, quality, approval, and washing-related issues.
• Ensure all finished garments meet buyer quality standards before final shipment.
• Maintain consistent washing quality and optimum productivity in accordance with international standards.
• Ensure all washing activities comply with factory safety, environmental, and chemical-handling procedures.
