Job Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet guests as they arrive, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Attend to customer inquiries and make menu recommendations. Ensure guests’ needs are met promptly and courteously throughout their dining experience.
Order Taking: Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, using our POS system. Ensure orders are relayed to the kitchen and bar in a timely manner. Verify order accuracy upon serving.
Table Maintenance: Set up tables with appropriate utensils, napkins, and glassware before guests are seated. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and dining areas throughout service hours. Reset tables for the next guests.
Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately according to established standards. Ensure all special requests or dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen staff. Monitor guest satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Payment Handling: Present bills to guests, process payments accurately, and return change or receipts promptly. Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment securely and in accordance with company policies.
Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure seamless service. Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate table assignments, special requests, and any guest feedback.
Upselling: Promote additional menu items, specials, and promotions to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue. Upsell desserts, appetizers, and beverages as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Minimum Educational Qualification HSC.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills for handling payments and making changes.
Knowledge of food and beverage menus is preferred.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverages.
Stamina to work in a busy and sometimes stressful environment.
