Responsibilities & Context:
∎ SOS Children's Village International in Bangladesh (www.sos-bangladesh.org) is a non-governmental social development organisation that provides care for the children who have lost parental care or who are at risk of losing parental care and deprived of a caring family environment. SOS Children's Villages operates in over 130 countries and territories worldwide. In Bangladesh, we have been working since 1972 and presently have programmes in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Chattogram, Bogura, Sylhet and Bagerhat.
∎ Our Programmes contribute to delivering SDGs with a special focus on our target group to improve the national social protection system, fighting inequalities, promoting access to quality education, strengthening youth employability and ending violence against children.
∎ Project Name: Digital Empowerment and Language Enhancement Initiative in Sylhet
∎ Nature of Job: Contractual for 1 year with possibility of extension
∎ Participate in the Baseline Survey in a wide range of specific areas for the selection of programme participants.
∎ Participate in data analysis and beneficiary selection.
∎ Ensure Akelius Apps usage for language learning by programme participants and teachers
∎ Regular communication with government offices, local administration, various stakeholders and ensure their participation in the programme.
∎ Attend and arrange various meetings, seminars, etc., if needed.
∎ Close monitoring and participation in project implementation
∎ Ensure that the goods and services provided are being utilised appropriately by the beneficiaries through follow-up and monitoring.
∎ All other works assigned by the Project Coordinator of Digital Empowerment and Language Enhancement Initiative in Sylhet, and in charge of SOS Children’s Village Sylhet.
