Job Responsibilities:
∎ Your work as an editor will involve:
∎ 1)receiving a brief, and maybe an outline of footage and/or a shot list, script, or screenplay.
∎ 2)assembling all raw footage, with camera shots either recorded or transferred onto video tape in preparation for inputting into the computer
∎ 3)inputting uncut rushes and sound, and synchronizing and storing them into files on the computer
∎ 4)digitally cutting files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what's usable
∎ 5)creating a 'rough cut' (or assembly edit) of the program/film and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stages
∎ 6)reordering and fine-tuning the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video.
∎ Additional tasks may include:
∎ 1)overseeing the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing
∎ 2)experimenting with styles and techniques including the design of graphic elements
∎ 3)writing voiceover/commentary
∎ 4)suggesting or selecting music
∎ 5)online editing - depending on your role you may also finalize technical aspects such as correcting faulty footage, grading, coloring, and adding special effects.
∎ Job responsibility of Graphics Designer:
∎ 1)Study design briefs and determine requirements
∎ 2)Schedule projects and define budget constraints
∎ 3)Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
∎ 4)Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
∎ 5)Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
∎ 6)Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
∎ 7)Work with copywriters and creative director to produce the final design
∎ 7)Test graphics across various media
∎ 8)Amend designs after feedback
∎ 9)Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
