Job Context:
∎ Background:
∎ Working with the Artemia4Bangladesh project team, the Training Specialist will join the efforts to design the interventions and implement activities to establish and disseminate integrated salt, Artemia and Aquaculture to increase food and nutrition security of salt farmers.
∎ Eligibility, Location and Duration:
∎ This position will be based at WorldFish`s Office in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Interviews are expected to be held in April 2020 and only shortlisted candidates will be notified and expected to attend the interview. The successful candidate should be available to commence on May 2020 for an initial three (3) years fixed term contract, with the possibility of contract renewal depending on performance and funding availability.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct training need analysis (TNA) across the salt/fish farming value chain aligned with project goals and objectives.
∎ Coordinate the development of training modules, manuals, training and extension materials (audio visual and printed materials) and communication materials in close collaboration with the project team. Communication materials must follow European Union communication guideline.
∎ Plan, organize and facilitate implementation of training/workshops/seminars, and evaluate training sessions, compliance of standards, provide logistic support and course development under the guidance of the Team Leader.
∎ Coordinate TOTs for project staff, partners who will then provide training to the respective stakeholders' (salt/fish farmers, hatcheries, local service providers, NGOs).
∎ Explore specific IT solutions to enhance efficacy and effectiveness of the new training systems.
∎ Monitor and evaluate training program's effectiveness, success and scope for the improvement and report on them.
∎ Write scientific publications/reports.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 (five) years' experience in training and extension in Aquaculture/ fisheries or related areas.
∎ Experience in developing training modules and different training tools for aquaculture/ fisheries stakeholders.
∎ Proven skill on training need analysis, develop training modules, designing training, prepare reports plan and manage budget accordingly.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel in remote areas with locally available transportation.
∎ Fluency in spoken and written English.
∎ Ability to write reports and scientific papers, experience in working with digital tools for e-learning.
∎ Computer literacy in standard MS Office programs and skilled in use of tools used in development of training materials.
∎ Experience, good knowledge and understanding of coastal aquaculture, socio economics of farmers.
∎ Capacity to develop and application of digital tools for training.
∎ Capacity to write publications/ reports.
Salary:
∎ This is a Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position with annual salary ranging between BDT 1,032,535 - BDT 1,162,127 per annum.
