• Familiarity with high-frequency resistance welding systems.

• Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical/electrical faults.

Report To: Production Manager

Job Summary: Operate and maintain Side seam welding machines to ensure continuous and defect-free production of tin can bodies. Ensure welding quality, alignment, and dimensional accuracy as per specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate the side seam welding machine for different can sizes.

• Monitor weld quality and adjust settings (voltage, speed, pressure) as needed.

• Inspect seams for continuity, cracks, and burn-through using visual and tool-based methods.

• Perform routine cleaning of copper wires, electrodes, and alignment rollers.

• Maintain production logs, quality records, and downtime data.

• Coordinate with quality and maintenance teams for inspections and breakdowns.

• Follow safety standards and PPE compliance in welding operations.

• Identify and minimize welding-related rejections and scrap.
