Responsibilities & Context:

Job Responsibilities of a Thai Chef

Prepare and cook authentic Thai dishes following standard recipes and presentation guidelines.

Ensure the quality, taste, aroma, and consistency of all Thai food items.

Plan and develop Thai menus, including daily specials and seasonal items.

Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in accordance with health regulations.

Properly handle, store, and control Thai ingredients, spices, herbs, and raw materials.

Monitor food portioning, minimize wastage, and control food costs.

Supervise and guide kitchen staff assigned to the Thai section.

Ensure timely preparation and service of food during operational hours.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations.

Coordinate with the Head Chef/Management regarding menu planning, inventory, and kitchen operations.

Assist in training junior cooks and kitchen staff on Thai cooking techniques.

Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining consistent food quality and presentation.
