Experience:

• At least 1 years

• Diploma in Medical Technology

• Diploma in Medical Technology or relevant training on equivalent course on Radiology and Imaging from an accredited academic institution

• At least 1 years

• Medical knowledge- to take the best possible images, Radiology Technicians use not only their radiology expertise, but also their in-depth understanding of the human body, as well as how injuries and disease affect the body. This helps them better understand the images produced

• Technical expertise- ability to work with a wide range of technological equipment, which requires technical understanding

• Mathematical ability- needs to mix the chemicals used for diagnostic imaging, something that requires strong math skills to get the combinations just right

• Critical thinking- every patient is different and no two medical conditions present themselves in the same way, but a Radiology Technician uses their analytical abilities to look at each patient’s case individually and adjust their procedures to suit the patient.

Experience Requirement:

• Minimum two years of experience in Radiology unit in any private or public hospital,

• Knowledge and understanding of computerized information systems Knowledge and experience of working in public health sector in humanitarian crisis will be an added advantage.

• Previous work in Government health system will add value to the position.

• Working experience in Cox’s Bazar district and/or knowledge of the Undocumented Myanmar Nationals and Rohingya refugees will be a plus.

• Support in performing diagnostic imaging, X-rays, CT scans (MRIs, and other forms of medical imaging to help diagnose illnesses and conditions.

• Sadar Hospital operates 24 hours a day, thus Radiology Technician may need to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends or duties in shift.

• In addition to performing the diagnostic imaging, Radiology Technician will prepare the patient for their procedures. This includes explaining how the procedure works and addressing any questions or concerns, along with compiling a medical history for the patient and providing them with any necessary protective clothing or gear.

• The Radiology Technician will also ensure the patient is positioned to get the clearest and most accurate image possible.

• Some surgeries, especially those that are particularly invasive, require the assistance of medical imaging to allow the surgeon a better view of the patient’s body. Radiology Technician will be responsible for operating this equipment during these procedures.

• Ensure that all the diagnostic imaging equipment are always in proper working order with appropriate maintenance of machines.

• Ensure uninterrupted supplies of logistics (films, printing papers) necessary for continued radiology and imaging services.

• Collect and keep records of all cases and analyse those data and use them for prearrangement or procurement of special care facilities including expensive drugs and/or surgical interventions.

• Perform such other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

• Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 49,504.08.
